A bit of a low down...

The Retail Reporting Analyst will operate as a key member of the Reporting and Analysis team ensuring relevant financial information is provided to decision makers across the organisation in a timely basis. This role will focus on reporting of revenue and cost of sales and will focus on the creation and maintenance of reporting models. Successful performance in the role requires that a detailed working knowledge of the billing system, point of sales system and Data warehouse can be attained as quickly as possible so that queries from the diverse areas of the business can be addressed confidently

About the Gig...

  • Monthly and weekly Reporting of Service revenue for retail stores
  • Creation and Maintenance of store P&L’s and metrics models
  • Understanding drivers of revenue and being able to explain variances of actual to budget and forecast
  • Construction of meaningful financial management information and reports
  • Weekly reporting of key performance metrics
  • Preparation of retail related board meeting packs
  • Answering and Investigating store performance queries
  • Liaising and working closely with the Retail Accountant, Retail Manager and commissions manager

Qualifications & Qualities...

  • Accounting degree and completion or near completion of accounting qualification such as CA/ CPA/ CIMA
  • Minimum 5 years working experience within a Finance team with a medium to large corporate
  • Telco experience preferred
  • Proficient in using Excel spreadsheets - minimum level of Advanced excel (pivots, lookups, etc)
  • Beginner in MS Excel VBA is desirable
  • Intermediate MS Access experience
  • Knowledge of other Microsoft Office products
  • Proven abilities in spread sheeting and modeling
  • Proven ability to extract information from complicated source systems.
  • Demonstrated Accounting experience
  • Demonstrated month end exposure
  • Knowledge of general ledgers & accounting systems
  • Proven problem solving ability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the team
