About the Gig...

  • Understand business drivers and the needs of relevant business managers and system users
  • Elicit and document requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely.
  • Define quality attributes, external interfaces, constraints and other non-functional requirements.
  • Participate in requirements prioritisation.
  • Liaise with stakeholders/business owners with regard to changes affecting their business units, ensuring cross functional awareness and preparedness for change. This will specifically involve writing high level processes and coordinating the development of lower level processes.
  • Manage requirements traceability information and track requirements status throughout the project.
  • Establish and implement effective requirements practices, including use and continuous improvement of a requirements process. Assist with the development of the organisation’s requirements analysis and management processes and techniques

Qualifications & Qualities...

  • Certification in Business Analysis and related disciplines
  • Certification in Project Management
  • Tertiary qualifications, preferably in the area of business management or information technology.
  • 10 Years experience as a Business Analyst, 5 as a Senior Business Analyst
  • Singl.eview experience strong and telco experience ideal
  • Interviewing skills, ability to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information
  • Listening skills, to understand what people say and to detect what they might be hesitant to say
  • Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources and distinguish solution ideas from requirements
  • Facilitation skills, to lead requirements elicitation workshops
  • Writing skills, to communicate information effectively to customers, marketing, managers, and technical staff
  • Organisational skills, to work with the vast array of information gathered during elicitation and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information
  • Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholders
  • Lastly, you will need lots of energy, enthusiasm & most of all a Virgin sense of fun!
