A bit of a low down...

We are currently seeking a Web Analyst to join our Customer Web Experience team to provide analysis and feedback on our online effectiveness from a sales and service perspective. You will be key in driving the direction of our webspace and have a brand new role to make your own in a dynamic and innovative team.

About the Gig...

  • Strong skills in mining, interpreting and presenting data from reporting analysis tools (e.g. Omniture) to provide business benefit.
  • Strong understanding of the Web channel reporting environment, how the data held is organised and the needs of stakeholders in extracting and analysing information & its relationship to improving sales and service measures.
  • Understand the Web channel dynamics and provide focus and information that will contribute to the successful growth of the channel.
  • Create functional quality dashboards and reports for the business to provide frequent and actionable insights.
  • Identify and recommend solutions to problems, and potential errors occurring with reporting – technical, data related, user error.
  • Co-ordination with the Web Experience and Web Sales managers in determining the strategic direction of the Web channels current and future reporting analysis tools.

Qualifications & Qualities...

  • Ability to structure analysis of complex data sources, assess alternative solutions and communicate recommendations
  • Top 10% spreadsheet skills (Excel including Visual basic/Macros) and experience with ?best practice? web analytics tools. Knowledge of databases (Access & SQL server), query software (DQL) and BI tools (Cognos) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Omniture or Core Metrix, Hitwise, Google Analytics.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in marketing analysis/ commercial or similar roles.
  • Strong analytical skills, a good understanding of data warehouse extraction methods, data analysis principles and commercial acumen
  • Inquisitive: Ability to draw insights from raw data - providing analysis support to management in terms of ?what happened??, ?why?? and ?what next??
  • Ability to have understanding of the web channel drivers of a mobile telecommunication business - ideal
  • Lastly, you will need lots of energy, enthusiasm & most of all a Virgin sense of fun!
