The grass has grown back, the birds have returned to the trees and our ears have stopped ringing. Sigh ... it's all over for another year.

We're pretty sure you had a rocking day, what with the incredible acts and all. Our customers certainly loved-up the rock-star VIP treatment they scored at the Virgin Mobile Venue with the Private Bar, lush bathrooms and chill-out zones.

As expected, the rock royalty on stage did not disappoint. The Smashing Pumpkins and Queens of the Stone Age dropped some seriously heavy riffs, Duran Duran reminded us why we love them so much, and plenty of the newer acts stepped up to the big time.

V Festival plans to return for more good times in 2009!

  VIRGIN MOBILE VENUE

Maybe it was the surprise visit of Sir Richard Branson that got the crowds stirred up – or maybe it was Munk, Andee Van Damage and the rest who pumped out beats all day and into the night. Either way, the Venue turned into par-tay centrale.

  GARAGE 2 V

Wow. Victorian five-piece Little Red proved that winning the national garage2v band comp was just the beginning. Keep an eye on these dapper gents - they are one to watch. You can start right now at garage2v.com.au
